The Kaufman farm was part of the Targonsky settlement.

According to a current Targonsky resident, the Kaufman farm, which was destroyed in WWII, had:

  • a big house,
  • a “gumno” (гумно)
[which is a barn-like building with a clear threshing floor to prepare flour to make bread]
  • a “laŭka” (лаўка)
    [small commercial store]
  • a bakery and
  • lots of domestic animals
    (damašniaj žyvioly)
